Hammad Azam is young & striking cricketer. He was born on March 16, 1991 in Attock. He is a talented Pakistani cricketer. An all-rounder, Azam made his first-class entrance in 2008 for Rawalpindi. He had played only six first-class games before being chosen in the Pakistan squad for the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand. His performance in the whole tournament was imposing, scoring 173 runs in six matches and getting out only once. His victorious 92 against West Indies in the semi-final directed U-19 Pakistan to the final of the tournament.

He was right away preferred in the Pakistan squad for the Twenty20 International against Australia. On 23 April 2011, Hammad Azam in company with Mohammad Salman and Junaid Khan made their one day international debuts against West Indies in St. Lucia. On 25 April 2011, he took his first wicket in the second Digicel ODI against West Indies in St.Lucia. Hammad Azam is a promising allrounder who hasn’t given much oppourtunities to play but recently he has shown a line of satisfaction in his little hard-hitting innings of 21 against England in Dubai 2nd T20I. So far, played only 5 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s for Pakistan International Cricket.
